My life has been a vast void of emptiness
seeking - yet hiding
caring - yet withdrawn
I live a life of hollowness
looking for danger out of fear of love
I run
I run until I'm exhausted
bounding through meadows like a deer in spring
through parking lots without abandon
I ride
I ride my Pinto, my Mustang, My Hannah
even with all my horses
I can't seem to find where I'm riding to
Until I felt your touch
your electricity
I had not realized how all my years of loneness
built up inside
I'm tired of being afraid to love a man
I want to feel your supple skin
your lean taunt muscles
all your muscles
I eat
yet I'm hungry
my heart is starving for you
I need to be sated not by your expertise of food
but by your soul - your mind
the oneness that we would capture together
together forever in our own private memory place.
