Windows align
A moment so jeweled
A thick, sweet drop
Suspended, not fooled.
The Cabochon faceted
Cut all aglow
The fire bears witness
To what they both know.
He comes to her swiftly
For coral and cream
Both fully aware
This is real, not a dream.
Peering into his eyes
She becomes more aware
But a sense of confusion
Is now in the air.
She quickly wipes off
Her coral so sweet
And places her nipple
Back in its sheath.
“Pardon me, do I know you?”
She asks him politely
And wonders just what
Was in that white burgundy.
“My name is Hopkins
But please call me Tony.
All of my friends do
I prefer it, you see.”
“Get me the Doctor
and stop fooling around or
I’ll use the .45 I have
under my gown.”
“No need to get violent.
He’s under the bed.
I just have to find
The keys to the shed.”
“How on Earth
did you manage that?
Pound for pound,
He’s as strong as an ant.”
“I simply suggested
-There was no need plead
I’d sic Stella on him
And so he agreed.”
“So if the Good Doctor is
under the bed,
why do you need the keys
to the shed?”
“That’s where I’m
holding Stella right now
She’s not quite herself
And thinks she’s a cow.”
“Well, nice of you to drop by
Take care of your back
And if you drive through D.C.
Give my fondest to Jack.”
