The voice is loud, so very loud in my brain.
I feel that if I could just squeeze my head tight enough, I could suffocate it.
Instead it grows louder, until I know it can be heard by anyone who is near.
There must be a way to silence the voice, for she deserves better. She is so soft, so beautiful. She is not afraid. She touches me with such a calm, with a peace I may never know.
I must try, for her.
I do try.
As I consume the painting, understanding comes.
Not even for her.
