PART 1

"See you tonight, then." Catherine told Grissom as they paused outside his office. She headed down the hall to the locker room before leaving for home.

"Sleep well." He responded as he watched her walk away, admiring the sway of her hips. He retreated to his office as wisps of his favorite fantasy revolved through his mind. He sat down at his desk and opened the folder Catherine had given him to review the data. He glanced over a couple of the pages then read her handwritten note concerning the sexual nature of the crime. He recalled her somewhat suggestive remarks when she had updated him. Unbidden libidinal thoughts intruded again, he smirked slightly and indulged himself. He'd given a lot of thought to making his little fantasy of Catherine, Lady Heather and himself come true. Heather was intrigued and certainly willing. Months ago, he was certain he could lure Catherine into participating and she would enjoy it. Then, something happened; he wasn't quite sure what, but he had stopped receiving invitations to her bed. Face it. She cut you off, again. He thought with annoyance. He comforted himself with the knowledge that
whatever 'it' was; their sometimes `on again, off again' relationship would be `on again' eventually.

His thoughts were interrupted by a timid "Hey, Grissom" from the door.

"Sara, what can I do for you?" He looked up from the paper he had been staring at to observe Sara slouching in his doorway. "Here it comes. Why can't she take `No' for an answer and let it drop?" He wondered to himself.

"I, ah, just wanted to see if you wanted to get some breakfast this morning?" She inquired, studying the floor at her feet.

"No." He brusquely replied. "Is that all?"

"Yeah, see you tonight." She glumly admitted.

"Sara, it's your night off. I better not see you here." He warned. She hurried down the hall to escape the building, nearly knocking Greg down in the process. A `sorry' tossed over her shoulder was all the response Greg received for his protest of abuse.

After Sara's hasty departure, Grissom sorted through the pile of paperwork from his `in' box; what had to be completed now and what could wait. The `had to be completed now' pile was pleasantly small. He glanced at his watch. Baring some unforeseen catastrophic event, he could get out of here early enough to luxuriate in the company of Lady Heather. In his opinion, midmorning at The Dominion was a very pleasant place. Inspired, he regained his concentration, and swiftly completed his paperwork.
